irector's Desk...

My name is Donald Mersiovsky and I thank you for your support for ARBA District IV Director. This is not a position I take lightly. I believe your representative should be someone who will take the time to discuss the issues that are important to you and I am committed to serve you in that capacity.

For those whom I have not yet met, here is a brief bio...I have been participating in this hobby since I was in 4H and FFA, and with the exception of serving six years in the US Navy. I have been breeding and exhibiting rabbits for over 30 years. I currently live in Belton, Texas with my wife Amy. I have two grown sons and two grandchildren. I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs where I have been for over 20 years and currently hold the position of Chief of Application Development.

I have had the opportunity to serve, for the past 12 years, as either president and vice president of the Texas Rabbit Breeders Association and as president of the Texas Californian Rabbit Specialty Club. I currently am vice president of the Mid-Tex RBA and past Secretary/Treasurer of the Californian Rabbit Specialty Club and am chairman of the TRBA state show. I have been an ARBA judge since 1996 and have judged in almost every state in the district.

Serving in these positions has been both rewarding and challenging and has given me the knowledge and experience to be of beneficial service to you, the members of District 4. I intend to work hard at all levels - from local to national, promoting rabbits and assisting ARBA District 4 members, adult and youth alike.

My primary goal is to reverse the trend over the past few years where members have felt ARBA directors have been unresponsive to their needs. I am a firm believer the ARBA officers and directors be held accountable in order to effect positiver change.

Again, I appreciate your vote of confidence that brings me to this office. I welcome any questions or comments District 4 members may have.
