| Hello Everyone! My name is Piper Smith and I am proud and excited to
have been appointed one of the Pennsylvania Representatives for ARBA’s
District 9! I live in the northeastern section of PA, and I have been
raising, breeding, and showing Mini Rex rabbits since 1998. I also
showed Dutch rabbits for the first few years of my time in youth. I
showed in youth through 2007. In January 2008 I began showing in Open as
a team with my mom, Barbara. We travel to many parts of the country
showing our Mini Rex, and show at about 35 shows per year including the
ARBA Convention and Mini Rex Nationals. I have previously served as the
2007 PaSRBA Queen and Commodity Representative, the ARBA District 9
Youth Reporter, the NMRRC District 9 Youth Director, as well as a number
of other positions on the local, state, and national level. I am
currently on the NMRRC Youth Committee, the PaSRBA Youth Committee, and
I am the 2010 PaSRBA Director at Large. I am a junior at Marywood University in Scranton, PA where I am majoring in History and Political Science with a Pre-Law track, as well as carrying a second major in Philosophy. Although raising and showing my rabbits and my involvement with the rabbit world keeps me very busy, I also occasionally show Welsh Springer Spaniels and Tibetan Spaniels with my family. I look forward to serving you as the PA representative and getting news and updates from all of Pennsylvania’s ARBA members! In the past few years we have seen District 9 grow in membership size and I look forward to being a part of this growth in the coming year! |
